West Fargo, North Dakota – Tuesday, July 24, 2018

Cass County Vector Control has scheduled TRUCK MOUNTED adult mosquito spraying for the following communities on the day(s) listed, weather permitting:

 

Wednesday July 25th 2018 8 pm

Cities of Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo

 

The active ingredient in the ULV (Ultra Low Volume) spray is permethrin or etofenprox. These insecticides are labeled for use in residential areas and are found to be non-toxic to humans and pets.

 

SPECIAL NOTE: Due to recent significant rainfall, conditions are anticipated to be extremely difficult in the next week to 10 days for most areas.

Multiple rounds of adult mosquito control treatment will be necessary and in some cases will provide little to no relief in the short term.

During this time, please be prepared to take additional precautions especially at dawn and dusk including: wearing long sleeves and pants, applying a DEET containing repellent, or avoiding outdoor activity.
