EVENT TIMELINE:

Noon - Event starts: watch zombies 'come alive', visit vendor booths and participate in preparedness activities. Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the event.

1 pm - 1K Youth Run - ages 12 and under (an adult can run with participant at no charge during this event) There will be no zombies to dodge during this run.

2 pm - 5K Zombie Fun Run - age 8 and older (must be 8 by race day) Zombies will attempt to pull off your "life flags" as you make your way through the course. Survival stations with water and extra flags will dot the trail. You'll have to answer a survival question to get a new flag. If you end the race with at least one flag, you have survived the zombie apocalypse.

4 pm - Zombie Apocalypse Ends - Will you survive?

WHY A ZOMBIE RUN?

It's a fun way to show residents how they can be personally prepared for a disaster, which contributes to the safety and security of our communities. It's also an opportunity for emergency responders, organizations and volunteers to showcase how they help to keep our community safe.

Event proceeds will be used to support emergency preparedness community activities.

NO NEED TO BE A RUNNER TO ENJOY READY. SET. SURVIVE!

There will be plenty of family activities, information, & demonstrations to include:

Emergency Responders, Vehicles, and Equipment

Personal and Family Readiness for Disaster

Disaster First Aid

Readiness Activities for children (with take-home kit)

Community Emergency Response Team

Games and prizes (free stuff!)

Zombies! (Disclaimer: zombies are not real)
